I’d like to shop local, but I don’t want to pick up every item on the shelf and turn it over to see where it was made. I figure that if I look online first for the product itself, then I can go to the local store to buy it. If you have any suggestions about where to find items that are Made in USA, please let me know, I’m interested!

According to the article, the merchants will be able to email your receipts to you instead of handing you a paper one.  The good part of this is that you would then not worry about losing your receipts, or having shoe boxes full of them.  You could store them on a thumb drive or memory card!  This would free up a lot of space.  The downside of this, though, would be that I often like to look at my receipt before I leave the store to find out for sure that I was not overcharged for something.  I frequently find that I AM overcharged for something and then I want to fix it before I leave the store.  It is a real pain to discover an error like that after I get home and then have to drive all the way back to the store to resolve the issue!

So, I am not convinced that paperless receipts would be a good thing for me.

The next fast and furious movies looks sweet! Fast Five as it is called looks to be action packed with some pretty amazing car stunts. Vin Diesel is one of my favorite actors. He is once again in this movie. I think I probably wish I looked like him. All the ladies would be after me!

The location where this movie was shot is also quite awesome. Rio De Janeiro is a beautiful city. Someday I hope to visit there.

This video is really something else! I can’t believe they let this police officer do this. Granted, he is retired and I am sure that this was only for a short time with other current police officers on stand-by. Either way, without looking at this too seriously, it is quite amusing. I can think of a few local officers that might do this in my area with permission.

This is a very cool video. Gene Simmons is saluting our military- minus the KISS makeup! I must say it is strange to see him without the makeup. All of the soldiers seem like they are having a great time as well.

I think it is wonderful that music artists take the time to bring some cheer to our soldiers. I can’t imagine what it must be like to endure all of the trials and tribulations they face on a daily basis.

This video is a great example of what not to do. People out to have a good day on the lake really should be more careful. Cold weather is coming and soon it will be time to ice fish.

While ice fishing can be a great sport. It can also be a dangerous one. The best advice is to check official reports for the thickness of the ice before venturing out with your shack. Better safe than sorry. You also do not want to end up like this guy.

This video is amusing. I can’t imagine using my new tractor to participate in such an activity. I suppose a person would use an old beater rather than a nice new one like mine.

These men look like they are having a great time. I wonder how one would run if it was jacked up with over sized tires?
