One of the things that really has annoyed me about trying to run a business here is that most of my competitors have not bothered to purchase any general liability insurance. Because they don’t have that expense they are able to under-bid me, and because of that they end up getting the job. When I give my estimates to the prospective customers, I always tell them that we are fully insured, and that they would be wise to make sure that any contractor that they hire also is fully insured. And yet, weeks later I see one of my competitors doing the job, and I know that they do not have any insurance. One day I hope that lack of insurance will bit them in their rear ends!
